09 Feb Shorts Win Awards of Special Merit at Film Festival
The Best Shorts Film Competition has awarded Alice T. Day and Lincoln H. Day two Awards of Merit Special Mention: Documentary Short for their companion films Scarred Lands & Wounded Lives 4-Shorts Program and What We Are Leaving Behind in Iraq.
The Best Shorts Competition is unique in the industry. Currently in its 6th year, Best Shorts is an avant-garde worldwide competition that strives to give talented directors, producers, actors, creative teams and new media creators the positive exposure they deserve. It discovers and honors the achievements of filmmakers who produce high quality shorts and new media. Judges base their decisions on the quality, creativity and technical aspects of each piece. Talented award winners have gone on to win Oscars, Emmys, Tellys and other awards.
